Watch Buster Posey detail his MLB journey through Topps baseball cards

Editor's note: The Giants sorted through stacks of their own Topps baseball cards as part of the "In the Cards" series with NBC Sports Bay Area's Alex Pavlovic. The second edition is with Giants catcher Buster Posey.

Six-time Giants All-Star catcher Buster Posey wasn't one to collect baseball cards in a frenzy, but he did have a small collection he would sort through with his brothers. And despite not getting too crazy over gathering cards, he was excited when he first witnessed his face on one when he got to The Show.

"As a fan of baseball my whole life, to see yourself on a baseball card was pretty cool," Posey told Pavlovic.

Posey made his MLB debut in 2009 when he was 22 years old, and Pavlovic has been covering him for a majority of the time -- eight years to be exact.

And while the now 32-year-old doesn't appear to have aged at all, Pavs is sporting some gray hair that the Giants catcher continues to make comments about.

"You've been here for that long?" Posey asked Pavlovic.

Both seemed surprised by the number.

Flipping through the cards, Posey reminisced on the old days that felt like a long time ago, because, according to him, they were a long time ago.

Pavlovic said the older cards with fresh-faced Buster still looked like him in which Posey quipped asking if that was a compliment or not.

"It is a compliment," Pavlovic responded. "I think that's a good thing."

But really, it doesn't appear like Posey aged one bit.
