Tuesday was a whirlwind day for Kevin Pillar.
Shortly after 9 a.m. PT the veteran outfielder was officially traded from the Toronto Blue jays to the San Francisco Giants.
Roughly 11 hours later, he arrived at Dodger Stadium, met some of his new teammates, put on the orange and black, and made his way to the visiting dugout midway through the Giants-Dodgers game.
While Pillar grew up a Dodgers fan in Southern California and attended plenty of games as a fan, he had never been to Dodger Stadium as a player. His pinch-hit at-bat in Chavez Ravine was the first time he had played there as a professional.
When he arrived in the Giants clubhouse on Tuesday night, Pillar was greeted by new Giants teammates Derek Holland, Dereck Rodriguez and Pablo Sandoval.

Pillar is starting in center field on Wednesday against the Dodgers and is batting sixth.
We imagine it was a lifelong dream is his to patrol center field in Dodger Stadium. Enjoy it, Kevin.
