The nightmare finally is over, thanks to Kevin Pillar, who was recently acquired from Toronto.
The glove-first center fielder crushed a four-seam fastball from Eric Lauer into the left field bleachers in the bottom of the fourth inning Monday night at Oracle Park. It gave the Giants a 5-0 lead over the Padres.
