Watch Phillies' Bryce Harper quiet Giants fans with moonshot home runs

For a day and a half, Giants fans greeted Bryce Harper with boos each time he stepped into the batter's box at Oracle Park.

In the fifth inning Friday night, Harper got his revenge.

That’s when the high-priced Phillies outfielder launched a moonshot 419-foot homer to center field off Giants starter Tyler Beede.

As he touched home plate, Harper put his finger to his mouth and looked up to the crowd.

The message was clear: "Be quiet."

Giants fans had good reason to boo Harper. He spurned San Francisco's lucrative contract offer this past winter and signed a 13-year, $330 million contract with Philadelphia.

Two innings later, Harper quieted Oracle Park again. This time, with the Giants leading 6-5, Harper hit a three-run homer that traveled 456 feet into McCovey Cove.

This four-game series was the first time Giants fans had a chance to see Harper in person since he made his decision. On this night, though, the 26-year-old got the last laugh.
