Draymond praises Rockets' win streak, ‘but I'm most impressed with…'

The Rockets have won 17 games in a row.

The Pelicans have won 10 games in a row.

Which streak is more impressive?

"Houston has had a good one but I'm most impressed with New Orleans," Draymond Green told reporters after shootaround on Thursday. "With some of the games they've won; with some of the numbers that AD (Anthony Davis) has put up has been incredible.

"And then doing that without DeMarcus. I think there was kind of a consensus around the world that once DeMarcus went out, that they'd struggle.

"Yet, AD has put them boys on his back and they're on a 10-game wining streak ... that's impressive."

On Jan. 26, New Orleans beat Houston (the Rockets haven't lost since).

The Pelicans then lost five of six.

Since Feb. 10, Davis is averaging 35.6 points, 13.6 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 3.1 blocks, while shooting just under 54 percent from the field and over 44 percent from deep.

That is insane.

Davis has been so good that he's starting to generate MVP buzz.

Many believe Harden is still the frontrunner, but things can certainly change over the final five weeks of the season.

Harden finished runner-up in 2015 and 2017.

"Both of those years, he lost to historic seasons -- Steph was just off the charts, and then Russ had 50 triple-doubles last year," Draymond told reporters. "You knew it wouldn't be long before he actually does pull through and win one.

"And then I know if you're him, you're sitting there like, 'Man, now here comes AD.' ... he's put himself in the best position he possibly can that's for sure."
