Jerry West: The Warriors are going to be challenged, but…

With 24 games remaining in the regular season, the Warriors are not in first place in the Western Conference.

The Rockets are 44-13 and the Warriors are 44-14.

"I do think the Warriors are going to be challenged this year. I really do," Jerry West recently told Tim Kawakami on "The TK Show. "Houston is awful good. In the regular season, they're not gonna lose a whole lot more games. They're really playing well.

"But I think the real true test comes in the playoff -- it would be hard to bet against the Warriors with the four players that they have there, and the experience they have."

A whole lot can change between now and the end of the regular season, but there is a chance that the Warriors face the Clippers in the first round of the playoffs.

"Oh my gosh, I would love that," West told Kawakami. "I really would and obviously I know who I’d be rooting for in my heart, but I still love my time there. I mean, there are so many great people up there...

"You couldn’t have a better bunch of people working for you -- the diversity in the office, the respect the people have for each other is pretty amazing."

West made it clear that he doesn't like how much the Warriors complain to officials, but...

"It's still fun for me to watch them play. I root for them."
