On Thursday morning, Joe Johnson was reportedly traded to the Kings.
On Thursday afternoon, Chris Mannix of Yahoo Sports tweeted the following:
Joe Johnson is expected to seek--and receive--a buyout from Sacramento, per sources, and will be coveted: Golden State, Boston will be among the early favorites.— Chris Mannix (@ChrisMannixYS) February 8, 2018
Johnson, 36, has appeared in just 32 of Utah's 54 games this season.
He is averaging 7.3 points and 3.3 rebounds over 21.9 minutes per contest.
The seven-time All-Star is shooting 42 percent from the field and just over 27 percent from deep.
The Warriors' roster is full, so Golden State would need to release somebody in order to add a player like Johnson.
