Camp Fire's smoke seen in Golden 1 Center during Lakers-Kings

When the Kings and Los Angeles Lakers took the court Saturday evening at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, smoke from the Camp Fire could be seen within the building.

The Camp Fire is the most destructive wildfire in California's history. At least 25 people are dead, officials said Saturday, and most of the city of Paradise in Butte County is destroyed. Cal Fire estimates that over 6,400 homes are destroyed, and more than 105,000 acres are burned.

A Kings spokesperson told ESPN that they were aware of the smoke, and asked attendees to keep the doors closed as much as possible during the game. When NBC Sports California's James Ham left the arena late Saturday, smoke from the fire was still visible.

Lakers star LeBron James told reporters in Sacramento he thought he may have felt some effects from the smoke.

“I had a slight headache before the game," James said in the visiting locker room. "I can’t pin-point any other reason why it was going on beside the smoke. But, it went away after the game started, so hopefully I will be able to get some good rest tonight.”
