SACRAMENTO -- Opening night always brings out the stars. For Sacramento, it doesn’t get much bigger than former All-Star big man, Chris Webber.

Prior to the game, the TNT analyst dropped by the NBC Sports California pregame show to chat hoops with Jim Kozimor and Sacramento owner, Vivek Ranadivé, to chat all things Kings.

When the topic shifted about Kings rookie big man, Harry Giles III, Webber couldn’t help but gush about the Duke product and even threw Marvin Bagley III, another Blue Devil, into the conversation.

“I think he can be a lot better,” Chris Webber said during the. “I was talking to Vlade (Divac) about just how much in love he is with his big guy tandem. I learned so much from Vlade during my time here and I know they will as well. The potential, the world is there’s and all they have to do is embrace the moment and just work their butts off and it’s going to be a fun ride.”

That’s very high praise coming from Webber. The 15-year NBA veteran and potential Hall of Famer played the game at the highest level. His pairing with Divac was poetry on the court.

If Giles, 20, and Bagley, 19, can even approach the level of chemistry and production, the Kings have the making of something special.
