20 hours on a plane with no Wi-Fi?

That was the experience the Kings faced as they boarded the infamous “Air Drake” for the team’s preseason expedition to India.

Kings guard De’Aaron Fox wasn’t fazed by the lack of an internet connection, however, as he detailed his experience on the flight to ESPN’s The Undefeated.

“We played FIFA, Madden, 2K, started playing Assassins Creed a little bit, it was cool,” Fox told Marc J. Spears. “It’s like being in your living room, but you on a flight, that’s how accommodating it was. We played music and stuff, but you can’t play music for 20 straight hours.”

After touching down, Sacramento’s players and staff got a chance to visit the Taj Mahal, India’s most widely-recognized landmark.

“It’s crazy, the detail, making us put these little footies on,” Fox said. “Yeah, you know this building’s special. I mean, like we’ve all seen pictures; even if you didn’t know what it was, you’ve seen a picture of it. And I think being here in person, it’s simply amazing.”

NBC Sports California also made the trip across the world, and caught up with Fox during the team’s stopover in Agra.

The Kings will play two preseason games during the week-long trek, both against the Indiana Pacers. The first game airs Friday at 6:30 a.m. PT on NBC Sports California.
