Domas approves of Shaq's hilarious nickname for post moves

Shaquille O'Neal probably owns the most nicknames among any basketball player -- nay, athlete ... nay, human being -- of all time.

Shaq. Diesel. DJ Diesel. Shaq Daddy. The Big Cactus. The Big Shamrock. The Big Banana. The Big Aristotle. The list goes on and on.

On Tuesday night, though, it was O'Neal handing out a new tagline for Kings center Domantas Sabonis' dominance in the paint -- "Lithuanian Lasagna." It took the place of O'Neal's normal "barbecue chicken" catch phrase for when centers dominate down low.

"You've got to love this as a big guy," O'Neal said while breaking down Sabonis' first half on TNT Tuesday night. "... Now when you get in [the paint], you can make something happen. ... I've heard from multiple sources that Sabonis is very, very strong. Now, what you have right here is 'Lithuanian Lasagna' aka 'Portland popcorn.' "

Sabonis was told of O'Neal's new nickname following the Kings' statement 153-121 victory over the Brooklyn Nets.

"Yeah, I guess it is Lithuanian Lasagna," Sabonis said with a laugh on the TNT broadcast. "We've got to make it a thing now."

Sabonis muscled his way to 17 points, seven rebounds and seven assists on perfect 6-for-6 shooting from the field and 5-for-5 from the free-throw line.

After a slow start to the season, Sabonis has erupted for five double-doubles over his last seven games. He's averaging 21.6 points, 11.6 rebounds and 6.7 assists in that span.

Sabonis is playing at the All-Star level the Kings had in mind when they traded for the center in February.

You can bet he'll be serving up "Lithuanian Lasagna" on a nightly basis. Come get it hot at Golden 1 Center.
