Kings Guard Gaming was eliminated from the NBA 2K League playoffs on Friday after losing in a 2-0 series sweep to Wizards District Gaming.

After finishing the regular season with an 11-5 record and considered as one of the best defensive teams in the league, a one-and-done postseason is a let down for the Kings.

The series got away from them quickly in Game 1 as turnovers by the Kings offense helped the Wizards gain a big lead. It was tough for the Kings to get any type momentum and ended up getting blown out 74-36.

Game 2 was a back-and-forth battle, but with just 16 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, the Wizards hitting a clutch 3-pointer to break a tie and win it 56-53.

Losing any playoff series is a tough pill to swallow, but going down as quickly as the Kings did, including a Game 1 blowout, was surely unexpected.

Despite the tough playoff loss, Kings Guard has a lot to build off for future seasons. Three of the team's starters were new to the Kings this season with two of those players just being drafted before this season. Kings Guard was able to gel fairly quickly and have a solid season despite not being together for a long time.

Expect Kings Guard Gaming to be back in the playoffs next season with a chance to do more damage.
