There’s good, there’s great, and then there’s ridiculous.

Kings’ Buddy Hield is great at shooting, but confirmed it when we found out he once made 49 consecutive shots in college.

“Buddy walked off the bus, sat down courtside, put on his tennis shoes and went out and made his first 49 shots before he missed,” Lon Kruger, Oklahoma Men’s Basketball head coach said in an interview on College Sports Sirius XM.

“Buddy was just special,” Hield’s former coach added. Kruger also said Hield was the best shooter in the country in his senior year.

That strong shooting ability would have the 27-year-old walking away from the 2020 MTN Dew 3-point Contest besting Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker in the final round. He also became the first NBA player to make 600 threes in his first three seasons last year.
