Kings helping team partners pay Golden 1 Center employees through March

The Kings already announced last week they would compensate all part-time hourly Golden 1 Center employees through March.

Now they're going even further.

A team spokesperson told NBC Sports California on Thursday that they're teaming up with their partners to help pay their part-time employees through March. Those team partners include Legends, ABM, Fanatics and SAMMCO.

The Kings and their arena employees are in a holding pattern while the world deals with the coronavirus pandemic.

The NBA suspended its season March 11 after Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert became the first player to test positive for the coronavirus. Since then, several other NBA players and team staff members have tested positive.

On Thursday alone, the Nuggets, 76ers, Lakers and Celtics all announced that members of their organization have tested positive for the coronavirus.
