Kings' Kyle Guy lost blue Twitter verified check mark amid NBA hiatus

It's been a rough eight days for Kyle Guy.

The Kings' rookie noticed Thursday that the blue "Verified" check mark was gone from his Twitter account.

Guy, who has spent most of the 2019-20 season with the G League Stockton Kings, saw the developmental league suspend its season on March 12 due to the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Malika Andrews reported on March 15, citing sources, that the G League would cancel the remainder of its season.

In 37 games for Stockton, Guy averaged 21.5 points, 4.6 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 36.9 minutes per contest.

A second-round draft pick (No. 55 overall), Guy has appeared in two games for Sacramento, scoring two points in four total minutes.

We're not sure why Twitter decided to take away Guy's verified check mark, but if he can establish himself as an NBA player over the next few years, he'll definitely earn it back.
