SACRAMENTO -- The Kings finally caught a break on the injury front. Or, maybe a non-break.

After an MRI required Marvin Bagley III to visit a foot specialist, the team announced Saturday that the big man will be out for the next few games with a midfoot sprain to his left foot.

The results could have been much worse for the 20-year-old power forward, who strolled into the Kings' locker room at Golden 1 Center in a walking boot Saturday.

This is the second injury this year for Bagley, who was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. He missed 22 games with a broken right thumb, returning eight games ago on Dec. 11. Bagley went down in the third quarter of the Kings' Thursday loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In nine games this season, Bagley is averaging 13.7 points and 6.9 rebounds in 23.6 minutes.

With Bagley again on the shelf, Nemanja Bjelica picked up his 29th start of the season at power forward when the Kings hosted the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night.
