Kings' Temple exits game in Houston with strained hamstring

Playing eight games in 12 nights might have cost the Sacramento Kings more than just a loss on Tuesday night in Houston. Veteran wing Garrett Temple went down clutching his left leg in the early third quarter and had to be helped to the locker room.

It didn’t take long for the Kings medical staff to diagnose Temple with a strained left hamstring, leaving Sacramento even more shorthanded than usual at the small forward position.

Temple signed with the Kings as an unrestricted free agent over the summer. The 30-year-old utility man is posting 7.8 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 26.7 minutes per game for Sacramento.
