Haliburton appreciates 'Double-Double Machine' nickname

Kings guard Tyrese Haliburton has been red-hot as of late. So much so that it might be time for a nickname.

Following the Kings' 117-111 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night at Golden 1 Center, Greek reporter Christos Tsaltas asked Haliburton a question that the second-year pro couldn't help but smile and chuckle when answering.

"Can I call you Double-Double Machine?" Tsaltas asked.

"I appreciate that, Christos," Haliburton responded. "My guy, I appreciate that. Thank you, that's love! I appreciate that."

Haliburton continued his impressive streak to help the Kings snap their three-game losing streak. He scored a team-high 24 points, had 10 assists and made five 3-pointers. This is nothing new for Haliburton, too.

Over his last six games, Haliburton has five double-doubles. In that span, he has averaged 22.7 points and 10.3 assists per game while shooting 51.4 percent from 3-point range.

Maybe it really is time the Iowa State product gets a new nickname. If he keeps this up, the Kings just might keep winning games too.
