The Kings are exorcising a lot of demons this season, and with their thrilling 137-129 win over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday at Golden 1 Center, Sacramento accomplished a feat the franchise hadn't done in 18 years.

With the comeback victory, the Kings now have won six games in a row for the first time since the 2004-05 NBA season.

Per SportsRadar, the Kings had the second longest streak -- 1,416 games -- between six-game winning streaks. Only the Los Angeles Clippers had a longer streak of 1,588 games from 1992 to 2012.

The Kings now are 9-6 and have won nine of 11 since starting the season 0-4.

Sacramento will look to push their winning streak to seven against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night at FedExForum. While the Grizzlies are one of the best teams in the NBA, they will be without star Ja Morant, who is out with an ankle injury.

In Mike Brown's first season as the Kings' coach, he quickly has changed the culture and the proof is in the results.

If the Kings can keep building on this foundation, they have a chance to end the most important streak: Their 16-season playoff drought.
