Meet Marvin Bagley: Rookie ready to rise with Kings, on hip-hop charts

Marvin Bagley has flow on the basketball court and on the mic. It's all part of his plan for hoops and hip hop world domination.

The Kings' rookie forward recently spoke to NBC Sports Bay Area's Jon Wilson about his two loves in an exclusive interview available only on the MyTeams app.

Bagley had a simple yet confident answer when asked if he'd prefer to be the best basketball player in the world, or the best rapper in the world?

"Why not both?" he said. "The sky's the limit. You can be whatever you want to be."

Good point, Marvin. And good to see that confidence entering Wednesday night's season opener against the Jazz at Golden 1 Center.

Watch the full interview on the MyTeams app, as Bagley explains how being the No. 2 overall draft pick and not No. 1 fuels his play and his music, and listen to a few of his tracks as he performs for Kings employees at the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel.

You also can check out Bagley's music on Soundcloud, including his "Don't Blink" EP, select original tracks and covers.
