Dave Joerger reportedly is back in the NBA.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Thursday, citing sources, that the former Kings coach has agreed to join Doc Rivers' staff on the Philadelphia 76ers as an assistant coach.

Joerger, 46, spent three seasons as the Kings' head coach. He was hired by Sacramento in May 2016 and fired in April 2019, and compiled a 98-148 record during that time.

He was much more successful as the Memphis Grizzlies head coach for three seasons before moving on to Sacramento. Joerger went 147-99 in Memphis and made the playoffs all three years. He never made the postseason coaching the Kings.

This also won't be Joerger's first time serving as an assistant coach. He was a Grizzlies assistant for six seasons before earning his promotion in Memphis.

The Kings went 31-41 their first season under Luke Walton after firing Joerger.
