Kings starting shooting guard Kevin Huerter exited Thursday's game against the Brooklyn Nets early with what is being reported as a hamstring injury.
Huerter cut to the basket in the first quarter of the contest and missed a layup as he fell down on the hardwood awkwardly.
It appeared as if the 24-year-old grabbed his right leg while he remained on the floor visibly in pain. A few minutes later, the Kings announced Huerter would not return to the game.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, citing sources, reported shortly after that early indications reveal that Huerter injured his right hamstring and will undergo an MRI on Friday.
FOX40's Sean Cunningham reported, citing league sources, that the feeling around the Kings organization is one of "optimism and relief" that the injury wasn't worse, adding Huerter seems to be in "good spirits."

Sacramento, who currently sits in the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, is in the second game of a four-game road trip, and will take on the Washington Wizards on Saturday and the Utah Jazz next Monday.
In his first season with the Kings, Huerter is averaging 15.2 points on 48.9 percent shooting from the field, 41.0 percent from deep with 3.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
