NBC Sports California reveals Kings 2021-22 season coverage plan

SAN FRANCISCO – Oct. 13, 2021 – NBC Sports California today announced its comprehensive coverage of the Sacramento Kings 2021-22 NBA season, highlighted by live coverage of all 82 regular-season games, extensive pregame and postgame coverage; and exclusive written, video and audio content on NBCSportsCalifornia.com and the MyTeams app.

NBC Sports California’s live-game coverage will be led by play-by-play announcers Mark Jones and Kyle Draper, who are entering their second season in their roles, and new game analyst Kayte Christensen-Hunter, the former WNBA player and longtime sideline reporter and studio analyst who was named to the position this offseason. Regular-season coverage begins with the opener against the Trail Blazers in Portland on Oct. 20 (7 p.m.)

NBC Sports California will continue to surround live Kings games with gameday programs Kings Pregame Live and Kings Postgame Live to provide expanded news, analysis, commentary and interviews before and after games. The shows will be hosted by Kyle Draper and Morgan Ragan, who joins the programs this season. Ragan has spent the last three seasons as the Stockton Kings game analyst and is co-host of The Deuce & Mo Podcast. Previously, Ragan served as a reporter for ‘Good Day Sacramento’ on CW 31 and as a morning show host on Sports 1140 KHTK. 

Draper and Ragan will be joined by a pair of new analysts on this season. Matt Barnes, a Sacramento native who appeared in nearly 100 games for the Kings over a 14-year NBA career, and Kenny Thomas, who played six of his 11 NBA seasons for the Kings from 2004-05 to 2009-10, will make their Kings Pregame Live and Kings Postgame Live debuts this season.

NBC Sports California’s live coverage, including pregame and postgame shows, will continue to be available to authenticated subscribers on the MyTeams app and NBCSportsCalifornia.com.
