Subconjunctival hemorrhage causing blurred vision for Kings PG Lawson

Kings point guard Ty Lawson planned on suiting up Tuesday night against his former Denver Nuggets teammates. He even took the floor during warmups with the hopes of playing, despite suffering a maxillary sinus fracture Saturday against the Memphis Grizzlies. And then things changed.

After taking a shot at the basket, Lawson, 29, noticed blurred vision in his right eye and was helped to the locker room by assistant coach Duane Ticknor. He has been diagnosed with a subconjunctival hemorrhage, which is a tiny broken blood vessel underneath the clear surface of the eye. Lawson is listed as day-to-day.

The veteran point guard has made a nice impact off the Kings’ bench, averaging 7.9 points and 4.2 assists in 24.8 minutes per game.
