Home of “Authentic Bay Area Sports” Earns 23 Nominations in 14 Categories

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – May 2, 2018 – The San Francisco/Northern California Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has recognized NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California (@NBCSAuthentic) with a combined 23 Emmy Award nominations in 14 categories. The nominations were announced today by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

The 47th Annual Northern California Area Emmy Awards will be presented on Saturday, June 2 at the SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco.

The network’s coverage is highlighted by over three hours of live game-day coverage on Warriors Outsiders and SNC: Warriors Playoff Central.  Throughout the NBA Finals, the network will present live-streams of its game-day shows and daily Warriors coverage with the latest news, expert analysis and insider reports on the MyTeams by NBC Sports app and NBCSportsBayArea.com.

Indy 500 live stream: How to watch Greatest Spectacle in Racing online

"The Greatest Spectacle in Racing" returns Sunday when the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 takes place at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. 

Last year, Danica Patrick returned to the historic track for one last ride before calling it a career. Now, the famed driver will be up in the booth alongside Mike Tirico and Dale Earnhardt Jr. as part of NBC's coverage.

While Patrick won't be racing this year, the 103rd running still has a loaded field that racing fans will love, including Helio Castroneves, Marco Andretti and Scott Dixon. Will Power is listed as the co-favorite along with Simon Pagenaud.
