The Raiders host the AFC rival Jets at the Coliseum in Week 8, going for a second consecutive win.
On the board
The Jets drove down the field on their first series, which ended in a Nick Folk field goal. New York claimed a 3-0 lead to start the game.
Raiders wide receiver Andre Holmes reeled in a red-zone touchdown pass from Derek Carr in front of Jets defensive back Buster Skrine during the first half to put Oakland up 7-3.
Increasing the lead
Michael Crabtree caught a pass against the Jets' zone defense, and charged through tackles to the end zone for a Raiders touchdown. The score put Oakland up 14-3 over New York in the first half.
Andre Holmes torched Antonio Cromartie and caught his second long touchdown of the day, putting the Raiders up 21-3 in the first half.
Trying to keep pace
The Jets could not find the end zone before have, so they settled for another Nick Folk field goal. It made the score 21-6, Raiders over New York.
Taiwan Jones took a short pass from Derek Carr 59 yards to the house to increase Oakland's lead to 28-6. The Raiders began to run away with it here, adding a couple Sebastian Janikowski field goals afterward, as well.
Close, but no cigar
The Jets would score two touchdowns, one to Eric Decker and one to Kellen Davis, but it would not be enough...
Back over .500
With four passing touchdowns, Derek Carr led the Raiders to their fourth victory of the season. Oakland won 34-20 over the visiting Jets, improving to 4-3 on the regular season.
