You never know where you might find Marshawn Lynch.
Professional hockey player Akim Aliu recently shared a video of Lynch suiting up, skating and shooting the puck.
Lynch doesn’t look half-bad on the ice and definitely has the build to be a mean, blueline enforcer. Can you imagine him coming in your direction to try and lay a hit?
The former NFL star certainly doesn’t lack confidence. As he suited up, Lynch made a lofty comparison between himself and hockey’s greatest.
“What’s his name? Wayne Gretzky?” Lynch said. “Well, I’m ‘Shawn Gretzky. You know what I’m talking about?”
He must have lost that Sharks sweater he wore to the 2016 playoffs, because Lynch rocked a Colorado Avalanche one in the video. Aliu said the two hung out and watched football on Sunday in addition to playing hockey.
This isn’t the first time Aliu and Lynch collaborated. Aliu has teamed up with the Sharks’ Evander Kane and seven other former and current NHL players to form the Hockey Diversity Alliance to promote racial equality in the sport. Earlier this year, Lynch and other pro athletes like the 49ers’ George Kittle took part in an HDA video that advocated fighting racism.
