Earlier this year, Marshawn Lynch told young NFL players to take care of their "chicken."

This week, the former Raiders running back helped 200 families in Hawaii take care of their turkey.

According to Rob DeMello of KHON2 News in Hawaii, Lynch and his Fam 1st Family Foundation handed out turkeys in O'ahu on Monday, three days before Thanksgiving.

Lynch, an Oakland native, now is living in Hawaii, according to DeMello.

The 34-year-old running back played for his hometown Oakland Raiders in 2017 and 2018, before returning to the Seattle Seahawks at the end of the 2019 season. He carried the ball 12 times for 26 yards and two touchdowns in the Seahawks' 28-23 loss to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Divisional Round game.

After the loss, while speaking with reporters, Lynch dropped an all-time quote about advice he would give to young NFL players.

"So, while y’all at it right now, take care y’all bodies, take care y’all chicken, ya feel me, take care y’all mentals, cuz little we ain’t lasting that long," Lynch said on Jan. 12. "I heard a couple players that I played with that they no longer here no more, they no longer. So start taking care y’all mentals, y’all bodies and y’all chicken. And when y’all ready to walk away, you walk away and be able to do what you want to do."

Lynch made over $56 million during his 12-year NFL career, according to Spotrac.com so he clearly took care of his chickens. And in retirement, he made sure families had their turkeys taken care of.
