The Oakland Raiders signed a pair of players the 2018 draft class on Monday: Tackle Brandon Parker and cornerback Nick Nelson.
The Raiders drafted Parker in the third round (No. 65 overall) in last month's NFL Draft. Parker, who played four seasons at North Carolina A&T, was a three-time FCS All-American and earned a spot on the first team in 2017.
Oakland selected Nelson in the fourth round (No. 110 overall). The cornerback split his college career between Hawaii and Wisconsin, setting a school record and leading the country with 21 passes defended in 2017. Nelson injured his meniscus in the lead-up to the draft, which likely caused him to slip on teams' draft boards, but received the fifth-highest overall grade among draft-eligible cornerbacks according to Pro Football Focus.
