Martavis Bryant's Raiders career was over before it even began.

The Raiders released the wide receiver as they cut their roster down to 53 on Sept. 1, and Bryant may not have a home in the NFL for at least one year. Bryant is facing a one-year suspension from the NFL for his latest substance-related relapse, according to ESPN

If Bryant is suspended, it would be his third in four years and could ultimately be the end of the speedster's career. Bryant did not play during the 2016 season while suspended.

The Raiders traded a third-round pick during the 2018 NFL Draft to acquire Bryant from the Steelers.

In three seasons with the Steelers, Bryant totaled 1,917 yards and 17 touchdowns in 36 games. The former Clemson product was selected in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
