Hats off to who? Kelce names Raiders, not Broncos, after win

It appears Travis Kelce still has the Raiders on his mind two weeks after the Kansas City Chiefs beat Las Vegas.

Moments after Kelce and the Chiefs beat the Denver Broncos 22-16 on "Sunday Night Football," NBC's Michele Tafoya asked the All-Pro tight end about his team's struggles.

"We've just got to finish strong. Hats off to the Raiders," Kelce said. "They've done an unbelievable job the past two games of presenting a challenge on third down and in the red zone. It is what it is. We've got to keep fighting ... "

At that point, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes poured cold water down the back of Kelce's jersey and pads, generating a loud shriek.

Kelce admitted to his mistake in a tweet a few minutes later.

The Raiders stunned the Chiefs in Week 5, handing the defending Super Bowl champs their only loss of the season on Oct. 11.

After the game, the Raiders team buses circled Arrowhead Stadium on their way to the airport for the flight back to Las Vegas. The Chiefs viewed this as the Raiders taking a "victory lap" after the win. Coach Andy Reid actually told the media that the Raiders' action were "not our style."

That storyline fueled the fire ahead of their Week 11 rematch in Vegas, and the Chiefs got their revenge, beating the Raiders 35-31. It was a game Las Vegas could have, and should have, won.

The Chiefs clearly are superior to the Raiders and they got the last laugh this season. But it's also clear that the Raiders are in the Chiefs' heads.
