Brown exits Raiders game with injury; Ruggs returns after tweak

The Raiders' offense started strong Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, but it also dealt with two injuries in the first half.

Star right tackle Trent Brown was ruled out for the remainder of the 2020 NFL season opener with a calf injury, after initially being designated as questionable to return.

Rookie wideout Henry Ruggs also went down with what appeared to be an ankle injury after being tackled, and he looked like he was in significant pain upon getting to the sideline.

While he was taken to the locker room, Ruggs did return to the field to start the second half.

Ruggs led the Raiders with 55 receiving yards in the first half, including this impressive grab for his first career NFL catch.

Brown is one of the league's best offensive tackles, so quarterback Derek Carr and the offense hope he won't miss any additional time.
