The Raiders got off to a hot start Sunday in their Week 4 battle with the Indianapolis Colts, but they'll have to go the rest of the game without Vontaze Burfict.

The veteran middle linebacker was disqualified during the second quarter after lowering his helmet to make a hit to the head of Colts tight end Jack Doyle.

The play was reviewed and confirmed, ending Burfict's day.

The Raiders opened the game thin at linebacker and now will have to survive without their leader on defense.

With Burfict hitting the showers, the responsibility will fall to Tahir Whitehead to lead the defense and help the Raiders get back to 2-2.
