Boughner unsure of Kane's status with roster deadline looming

Evander Kane's status remains up in the air as the Sharks face a deadline Monday afternoon to cut the roster down to 23 players. Coach Bob Boughner would not specify what the Sharks' plans were regarding Kane while speaking to the media Sunday.

“I have no information for you, I really don’t,” Boughner said Sunday (h/t Curtis Pashelka). “I’d say no comment because I don’t know.”

Kane still is away from the organization through a mutual agreement as he is involved in multiple investigations by the NHL.

The Sharks will have to remove four players from their active roster by 2 p.m. PT on Monday, as the roster currently stands at 27.
