After losing three straight games at home, the Sharks needed a win Monday night to feel good before they head out on the road.
Erik Karlsson and Evander Kane delivered that happy-flight moment, connecting on an overtime goal to give the Sharks a 3-2 win over the St. Louis Blues at SAP Center.
The game-winner came 41 seconds into the extra period and lifts the Sharks to 9-11-3 as they head down to Anaheim for a two-game set.

This marked the first time Kane has scored an overtime goal since joining the Sharks in February 2018. Ironically, his last OT marker came against San Jose.
The Sharks finish the seven-game homestand with a 2-4-1 record. It could have been worse if they hadn't pulled out the win Monday.
