Golden Knights troll Sharks by liking team's tweets from season opener

Not to point out the obvious, but Wednesday night did not go well for the Sharks.

Opening the season shorthanded on their rival's home ice, the Sharks were dusted by the Vegas Golden Knights, 4-1 at T-Mobile Arena.

As normally happens when rivals clash, the winner gets the pleasure of rubbing the loser's nose in the L.

The Sharks and their fans enjoyed tormenting Vegas over San Jose's epic Game 7 comeback in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, so, of course, the Golden Knights had a little fun after their season-opening win.

During the game, the Sharks' official Twitter account tweeted out updates, so the Knights had to be polite and show how much they enjoyed San Jose's play-by-play of the Vegas' win.

Touché.

There will be no reprieve for the under-manned Sharks as they return home to SAP Center on Friday to face .,. the Golden Knights.

It'll be the perfect opportunity for the Sharks to get in the win column both on the ice and on social media, but it'll take a much better effort than what Peter DeBoer's club put forth Wednesday to beat the Golden Knights.
