Inside Sharks' locker room setup in Arizona training camp

The Sharks were forced to hold training camp for the 2020-21 NHL season in Scottsdale, Ariz., as Santa Clara County remains closed to contact sports. San Jose released a photo Friday that showed what the team's locker room looks like inside the Ice Den, complete with updated league COVID-19 protocols.

Socially distanced lockers and separate hooks for individual player masks will be just part of the NHL's health and safety guidelines for this season, which is set to get underway on Jan. 13.

The Sharks were able to get some signage into Ice Den's facilities to give players some semblance of familiarity, but the team has been living in a nearby hotel since arriving in Arizona.

San Jose is scheduled to open the 2020-21 regular season Thursday, Jan. 14 against the Arizona Coyotes, the first of two consecutive games against the 'Yotes.

After a disappointing finish and missing out on an invitation to the NHL's playoff bubble last season, the Sharks will be motivated to recapture the winning ways that saw San Jose advance to the playoffs in 14 of the prior 15 seasons.
