Tomas Hertl isn't the only member of the Sharks now in the NHL's COVID-19 protocols.
Just minutes before the Sharks were set to take on the Vegas Golden Knights at SAP Center on Friday, forward Marcus Sorensen was placed into the protocols.
The Athletic's Kevin Kurz first reported the news, and the Sharks confirmed the news to NBC Sports California.

Sorensen wasn't in the Sharks' projected lineup earlier in the day. The 28-year-old, who is in his fifth NHL season, has one goal and one assist in 15 games this year.
Hertl entered the COVID-19 protocols on Feb. 24 and it caused the Sharks-Golden Knights game on Feb. 25 to be postponed.

According to Kurz, Hertl has had to spend 14 days in the protocols and should clear them on March 10.
Fortunately for the Sharks and Golden Knights, Friday's game wasn't postponed, and the two teams are scheduled to play again Saturday night.
