The Sharks are headed back to the Western Conference final for the first time since 2016.

After beating the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 in Game 7 of their Stanley Cup playoff second-round series Wednesday, the Sharks will face the Blues in the next round.

The Blues defeated the Dallas Stars in double overtime of Game 7 to claim their second-round series Tuesday.

With the Sharks holding home-ice advantage, Game 1 will take place at 5 p.m. PT on Saturday night in San Jose.

The Sharks went 2-1 against the Blues during the regular season. St. Louis won the first matchup 4-0 on Nov. 9, but San Jose took the second game 4-0 on Nov. 17 and the third matchup 3-2 in overtime on March 9.
