Sharks forward Tomas Hertl left in the second period of Saturday night's 4-3 win over the Philadelphia Flyers with a head injury.

Hertl gained the offensive zone, and attempted to stickhandle around Flyers defenseman Christian Folin. Folin's shoulder caught Hertl up high, and he fell to the ice.

Officials stopped play to allow Hertl to return to the locker room with 7:34 remaining in the second period. Hertl did not return to the game, and Sharks coach Peter DeBoerdid not have an update on his status in his post-game media scrum.

The 24-year-old assisted on Timo Meier's first-period goal, picking up his ninth assist and 14th point of the season.
