The 2021 NHL trade deadline was a busy one for Sharks general manager Doug Wilson.
San Jose made multiple moves Monday before the Noon PT deadline, capped off by sending forward Antti Suomela to the Toronto Maple Leafs and acquiring forward Alexander Barabanov, the team announced.

Suomela, 27, is in his third NHL season with the Sharks. He played four games this season and failed to score any points on four shots on goal.
Suomela scored 15 points -- four goals and 11 assists -- over 51 games with the Sharks.

Barabanov, 26, made his NHL debut this season. He has one assist in 13 games, but hasn't hit the back of the net after attempting 11 shots on goal thus far in his young career.
