Sharks vs. Avalanche live stream: How to watch NHL playoffs Game 4 online

You can't lose if you never trail. That strategy worked pretty well for the Sharks in their 4-2 victory over the Avalanche in Game 3 of their second-round Stanley Cup Playoff series on Tuesday.

San Jose will try to repeat its success and take a commanding three-games-to-one series lead when the Sharks face Colorado at the Pepsi Center in Game 4 on Thursday night. The Sharks hold a 10-1 all-time series record in franchise history when taking a 3-1 series lead. They are 6-11 all-time when a series is tied at two games apiece.

Sharks forward Logan Couture is coming off a performance in which he became just the fourth player in franchise history to record a postseason hat trick, while Martin Jones stopped 25 of 27 shots for his fifth win in six starts.

Jones will be in between the pipes again in Game 4, as will Colorado netminder Philipp Grubauer. San Jose is expected to roll out the same lineup as they did in Game 3, while Matt Calvert -- who missed Game 3 after suffering an upper-body injury from a major hit by Brent Burns at the end of Game 2 -- might return to the lineup for the Avalanche.
