The Sharks have not been displaying the kind of consistency you'd expect from a Stanley Cup contender as of late.
After a six-game winning streak, San Jose (43-24-9) has dropped six in a row with now six games remaining on their regular season schedule. The Sharks still have a chance to alter their playoff positioning, but currently sit six points behind Calgary and five points ahead of Vegas in second place in the Pacific division.

The Sharks will look to get back on the winning track Thursday when they host the Blackhawks at SAP Center. Chicago (33-33-10) hasn't been eliminated from playoff contention as of yet, but they need a lot of help in order to qualify for the postseason.
