SAN JOSE – The Sharks return to San Jose for just one home game this week as they get set for their rematch against the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday evening.
Team Teal is coming off a 3-1 victory over the Canadiens in Montreal on Sunday, ending a rough skid of road games. Joe Pavelski and Brent Burns registered a goal and an assist apiece as Martin Jones turned away 40 shots and the penalty went a perfect two-for-two. Forward Timo Meier is expected back in the lineup after missing the Sharks last three games. At Tuesday’s practice, he skated on a line with Joe Thornton and Marcus Sorensen.
The Canes visit San Jose for the second of a five-game road trip, including the California swing including games with the Ducks and Kings. Carolina was defeated in LA 2-0 on Sunday evening.
