It has been a great couple of days for Manchester City (23-3-9; 72 points).
The club's UEFA Champions League ban was overturned Monday, and cross-town rivals Manchester United failed to grab hold of a place in the prestigious European knockout competition hours later due to a draw with Southampton. City's week can get even better with a win over 18th-place Bournemouth (8-7-20; 31 points) on Wednesday at the City of Manchester Stadium.
Bournemouth has much more to play for than last season's Premier League champions, but it'll be a tall order to earn a vital three points against City. The Cherries are three points (and some help with goal-difference) from moving out of the relegation zone. There might be no better time for Bournemouth to beat City for the first time in their history, and the Cherries' 4-1 win Sunday should give them confidence.
Wednesday's match, as well as every Premier League game played that day, will exclusively stream commercial-free on Peacock, NBCUniversal's free streaming service.
