Watch Liverpool FC's Sadio Mané score header, bury Manchester City

Six minutes into the second half Sunday at Anfield, the rout was on.

That's when Liverpool attacker Sadio Mané slipped behind Manchester City's defense and headed in Jordan Henderson's whipped-in cross to score the English Premier League leaders' final goal in a 3-1 win over the reigning champions.

Mané's marker gave Liverpool a 3-0 lead in the 51st minute.

The Reds led 2-0 heading into the second half, thanks to a pair of goals within the first 15 minutes. City created more chances and had more possession in the first half, but Fabinho gave Liverpool a 1-0 advantage on the Reds' first shot of the match and Mo Salah doubled the lead on their second.

Bernardo Silva scored for City in the 78th minute, but Mané gave Liverpool plenty of breathing room to finish out the match.

Mané's goal, his seventh of the Premier League campaign, marked just the second time this season that City had allowed three goals in a match. The Cityzens now have one fewer loss (three) than they did in their Premier League-winning campaign last season, and sit nine points back of the Reds in fourth place.

Liverpool has not won a Premier League crown or a top-flight title of any kind since 1990. Thanks to Mané's goal Sunday, it might not be too early to start planning the parade.
