The 2015-16 Golden State Warriors won 73 games in the regular season, besting the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls.

But on Sunday they failed to cap off the year with an NBA Championship. That Bulls team secured a title.

Shortly after the Warriors coughed up a 3-1 series lead, dropping Game 7 of the NBA Finals to LeBron James and the Cavaliers, former Bull Dennis Rodman chimed in.

"Congrats cavs for winning NBA title. warriors u had a great regular season," he Tweeted. "But the greatest team of all time is the 95-96 chicagobulls."

The Bulls in the 1995-96 season finished the regular season 72-10 and took home the NBA title. Warriors coach Steve Kerr was part of that squad.

Golden State, however, won 88 total games - regular season and postseason combined - which is more than any team in NBA history.

Several players from that Bulls team have commented on the comparison between them and this year's Warriors team, including Rodman, Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan.
