Gordon Hayward's move is officially official.

As reported earlier on Tuesday, the seven-year NBA pro is leaving the Utah Jazz for the Boston Celtics.

Hayward made the announcement in a letter on The Players' Tribune.

This was a life-changing decision for me and my family, and something we took really seriously. And from the very start of this process, one thing stood out as important: I knew that I wanted the fans and the organizations to hear my decision directly from me.

After seven years in Utah, I have decided to join the Boston Celtics.

According to The Vertical, Hayward's deal with Boston will be a four-year, $128 million deal.

On Tuesday morning, multiple national reports stated that Hayward planned to sign with Boston. Caught off guard by the news leaking, Hayward's agent let it be known that Hayward hadn't made a decision and was still thinking through his options.

The move to Boston re-unites Hayward with his college coach Brad Stevens.
