Field to Table: How to make Oracle Park Ghirardelli sundae at home

Field to Table: How to make Oracle Park Ghirardelli sundae at home

With MLB season finally underway, Field to Table went out with a bang.

After making savory Oracle Park favorites like the Crazy Crab sandwich, the ballpark pretzel, helmet nachos, pizza and chicken tenders, our trio of aspiring ballpark chefs focused on the sweeter side of things. NBC Sports Bay Area's Kelli Johnson, Anthony Garcia and Alex Pavlovic gave the Ghirardelli sundae the old college try, and the results were delicious.

We don't envy guest judge Rich Aurilia, who had to pick a winner from three tantalizing options without getting to try any for himself.

Here are the sundae recipes each contestant used:

Anthony Garcia

  • Non-dairy ice cream
  • Chocolate sauce
  • Caramel sauce
  • Bananas
  • Maraschino cherries

Field to Table: How to perfect Oracle Park chicken tenders at home

Field to Table: How to perfect Oracle Park chicken tenders at home

It’s your favorite time of the week, where Field to Table brings you your favorite ballpark foods that you can make from home. This time, it's a personal favorite: Chicken tenders.

And before you ask, yes, they pair well with wine. Just ask Rich Aurilia, who once again joins the gang as a guest judge to determine who makes the best tenders.

You might want to put your money on Giants insider Alex Pavlovic, he’s the tender king.

Here are the recipes they used:

Kelli Johnson (deep fried)

-Chicken breasts
-Buttermilk
-Salt and pepper
-Cayenne Pepper
-Garlic Pepper
-Paprika
-Flour
-Bread crumbs
-Cooking Oil

Alex Pavlovic (air fried)

-Chicken breasts
-Eggs
-Bread crumbs
-Flour
-Salt and pepper

Anthony Garcia (oven baked)

-Chicken breasts
-Bread crumbs
-Gluten-free almond flour
-Olive oil
-Garlic powder
-Paprika
-Eggs
-Salt

Kelli really wants this one, but per usual, Pavs comes out of nowhere and surprises us with some special details. He added TWO types of french fries and multiple sauces.

What a savage.

And that’s fair, you must have at least two sauces to dip tenders in or you’re doing it wrong.

Who was the winner? Well, check the clip above to find out. And come back to check out the recipes from other Oracle Park favorites including the Crazy Crab sandwich, the ballpark pretzel and helmet nachos. Oh … and pizza.

Field to Table: How to create the perfect ballpark nachos from home

Field to Table: How to create the perfect ballpark nachos from home

Nachos are a staple at any sporting event. On the latest episode of “Field to Table,” the group recreates the dish that is not only good, but also tastes a little bit more special when being eaten at the ballpark.

Perhaps it’s the way you have to grip your beer very strategically as you sip in between mouthfuls of cheesy goodness. Or how you stack each tortilla chip to perfection making sure it’s covered in all of the ingredients.

Yep, I’ve done this before.

Kelli Johnson, Alex Pavlovic and Anthony Garcia are joined once again by guest judge Rich Aurilia to see who put out the best nachos. And before you say anything -- ballpark nachos are just better than regular nachos, so let’s just finish that debate now.

Here are the recipes they used:

Anthony’s simple nachos

-Ground beef
-Salsa
-Pinto beans
-Homemade guacamole
-Nacho cheese

Alex’s Petco Park-inspired nachos

-Carne asada
-Cheddar cheese
-Mexican style cheese blend
-Cotija cheese
-Homemade guacamole
-Pico de gallo
-Fresh jalapenos
-Sour cream

Kelli’s pollo asado nachos

-Pollo asado
-Black beans
-Homemade guacamole
-Salsa
-Sour cream
-Shredded Mexican style cheese blend
-Fresh sliced jalapenos
-Fresh tomatoes
-Fresh green onion
-Fresh cilantro (We understand some of you hate this idea)

Anthony did not season his meat, he microwaved his cheese and then put it in an A’s hat. This just goes to show there’s no way of messing it up.

Don’t worry, if you weren’t a fan of his, Kelli and Alex more than made up for it.

Who was the winner? Well, check above in the video to find out. And see which wines go perfectly well with nachos. Trust us, wine goes with everything.

Also, check out that other ballpark goodies the gang has made including Tony's Pizza, Cha-Cha Bowls, ballpark pretzels and a Crazy Crab Sandwich
