Steph Curry couldn't pick up his second NBA 3-Point Contest crown in his hometown.
Brooklyn Nets sharpshooter Joe Harris edged the Warriors star 26-24 in the finals of the event in Charlotte on Saturday. Kings guard Buddy Hield also was a finalist, and finished third with 17 points in the final round.
Curry paced the field after an explosive first round. He scored 27 points -- one shy of the record in the event's new format -- and made each of his final 10 shots.

The two-time NBA MVP picked up where he left off in the finals. Curry made his first nine shots, for a total of 19 consecutive makes across his two rounds. Technically, that matched Craig Hodges' record run in the event, but Hodges made all 19 in a single round.
But Curry cooled off ever so slightly, hitting nine of his final 15 shots to finish two points shy of the eventual champion.

Harris entered the night with the highest 3-point percentage (47.1 percent) of his competitors, and beat a stacked field for the win.
